If you were to take multiple snapshots of your mind at any given moment or over the course of your life, what would you see? For me, I saw someone who’s in a transition period, who’s learned to love, who’s overcome an eating disorder and abandonment issues, who’s working through hormonal disorders, disassociation and managing stress, who’s changed genres and found lighting, who remembered why she sings.
This was a big victory for me. It is far from perfect and looking over it I see many places I need to improve, but I also see how far I’ve come from even a year and a half ago and I think that is a cause to celebrate.
I appreciate everyone who was there and everyone who supported me along the way! You can watch the performance and see some photos from that night below.
A special thank you to Alexander Givant for the photos, Lipscomb’s Entertainment and Technical Services, Lipscomb’s School of Music, my co-producer and amazing boyfriend Jacob Swindell, Aidan Watson, Zach Cook, Winston Folsom, Isaac Bouldin, my family and last but certainly not least, God, for bringing me to this point.
